Hi, my name is
Michelle Mehlberg.  I live on a farm north of Raymond, South Dakota with my husband,
Tim, and three daughters, Jessica, 15, Heidi, 11 and Carly 7.  I have lived in this
area all of my life having graduated from high school 24 miles away.
I am currently employed by the Department of Education and
Cultural Affairs within the Office of Technology as a Curriculum Integration Specialist.
What is that?  Ask me on any given day as my tasks change regularly.
Seriously, I work with technology integration into the K-12 environment.  I am
responsible for the asynchronous Advanced Placement courses that students from across the
state can take; curriculum development to be delivered over the DDN as well as many other
duties.  I love my new position which I have been doing since July 2, 2001!
Prior to this time I was an educator on staff at Conde School
District where I taught Family and Consumer Science, Geography, 7th and 8th grade English
as well as was the Network Administrator.
I am a Sunday School Teacher and help out with 4-H.  I love
doing crafts, especially wood crafts and enjoy doing them with friends and my girls.
I am beginning to attend many sporting events as basketball and volleyball are two
common words in my household.  My passion is Dutch Belted Cows (they look like an
Oreo Cookie - black on both ends with a strip of white in the middle!) of which I have 12.
If I have any free time I like to spend it outdoors walking.
I am excited to graduate with my Masters in Computer Education
and Technology and although I won't be job hunting for awhile, as I am in a position now
that I love and is a challenge, the skills and knowledge that I have gained through this
program will help me now and in the future.
