Informative Multimedia Presentation Project

Assessment System

Group Assignment: Pam Halverson; Gay Pickner; Michelle Mehlberg

 

This activity allows students to use the writing process to produce a well developed informative multimedia presentation based on a topic of their choice directed to an audience of their peers. The students that will be working on the project will have taken basic PowerPoint and have mastered the skills to produce a basic presentation. The instruction will cover the incorporation of graphics, video, animation, audio, and any other multimedia techniques that may enhance the design of the project.

Students learn to:

bulletPlan and draft a well-developed organized informative report that demonstrates effective use of language, voice, and a command of mechanics
bulletRevise and edit through a self-editing and a peer-editing process
bulletWrite an informative report with a clear beginning, middle and ending
bulletUtilize the features and functions of a software application (i.e. PowerPoint) to effectively present information
bulletCreate a multimedia presentation in which key elements of multimedia design principles are displayed
